Disable Automatic Network Shortcut Resolution (All Windows)

When you create a shortcut to a resource on a mapped network drive, and then remap the same drive to a different network resource, Windows attempts to connect to the original network resource when you access the shortcut.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'LinkResolveIgnoreLinkInfo' using the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Value: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)
